World Population by Country in 1950

In 1950, the world reached a total population of 2,499,322,157 and 🇨🇳China was the most populous country that year, with a total of 543,979,233 people. Followed by 🇮🇳India, with the second largest population globally of 357,021,100 people in total. The country with the lowest population count for the year was 🇻🇦Holy See with only 880 people.

The geographic region with the largest population in 1950 was Asia with a total population of 1,379,048,370 people, closely followed by Europe with a population of 549,721,718, and Africa with a population of 227,549,258 people recorded for the year.
