In 1987, 🇨🇳China was the most populous country in the world, with a total of 1,096,851,842 people. Followed by 🇮🇳India, with the second largest population globally of 815,716,125 people in total. The country with the lowest population count for the year was 🇻🇦Holy See with only 709 people.
