In 1992, 🇨🇳China was the most populous country in the world, with a total of 1,183,813,389 people. Followed by 🇮🇳India, with the second largest population globally of 907,574,049 people in total. The country with the lowest population count for the year was 🇻🇦Holy See with only 685 people.

The geographic region with the largest population in 1992 was Asia with a total population of 3,325,187,718 people, closely followed by Africa with a population of 671,931,548, and Latin America and the Caribbean with a population of 459,026,864 people recorded for the year.
