World Population by Country in 2014

In 2014, the world reached a total population of 7,339,013,419 and 🇨🇳China was the most populous country that year, with a total of 1,385,189,668 people. Followed by 🇮🇳India, with the second largest population globally of 1,307,246,509 people in total. The country with the lowest population count for the year was 🇻🇦Holy See with only 569 people.

The geographic region with the largest population in 2014 was Asia with a total population of 4,413,673,348 people, closely followed by Africa with a population of 1,170,299,023, and Latin America and the Caribbean with a population of 616,734,059 people recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Southern Asia had the largest populous of 1,833,991,975 people on record. Followed by Eastern Asia with a population of 1,622,632,262, and Eastern Africa with 383,013,540 people in the sub-region.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that Middle-income countries had the largest population with a total of 5,504,122,846 people. While the lowest population for 2014 was found in No income group available with a population of 30,755,819 people in that segment.
