Annual Net Migrations by Country in 1950

In 1950, 🇬🇧United Kingdom was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 151,663 people for the year. Followed by 🇰🇷Republic of Korea with 146,698 , and 🇦🇺Australia were 144,875 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇩🇪Germany with -628,404 people. Followed by 🇰🇵Dem. People's Republic of Korea with a net migrations of -191,305, and 🇪🇸Spain with -129,563 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Asia with a total of 444,437 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Oceania with a net migrations 142.486, and Northern America with 112,538 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that South-Eastern Asia had the highest net migrations of 217,592 people. Closely followed by Northern Europe with a net migrations of 160,539, and Australia/New Zealand with 150,973 net migrations recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that Middle-income countries has the highest net migrations of 375,398. While the lowest net migrations is recorded by Low-income countries were -270,590 more people emigrated than immigrated in that segment.
