Annual Net Migrations by Country in 1956

In 1956, 🇫🇷France was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 168,343 people for the year. Followed by 🇨🇦Canada with 165,849 , and 🇮🇳India were 160,728 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇷🇺Russian Federation with -184,450 people. Followed by 🇯🇵Japan with a net migrations of -152,385, and 🇭🇺Hungary with -145,065 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Asia with a total of 735,989 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Northern America with a net migrations 151.905, and Oceania with 98,528 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Western Asia had the highest net migrations of 211,558 people. Closely followed by South-Eastern Asia with a net migrations of 209,467, and Southern Asia with 166,117 net migrations recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that Lower-middle-income countries has the highest net migrations of 302,576. While the lowest net migrations is recorded by Low-income countries were -175,940 more people emigrated than immigrated in that segment.
