Annual Net Migrations by Country in 1958

In 1958, 🇮🇳India was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 292,749 people for the year. Followed by 🇩🇪Germany with 202,769 , and 🇺🇦Ukraine were 181,852 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇯🇵Japan with -229,568 people. Followed by 🇷🇺Russian Federation with a net migrations of -148,012, and 🇮🇹Italy with -146,971 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Asia with a total of 552,152 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Northern America with a net migrations 103.192, and Oceania with 77,371 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Western Europe had the highest net migrations of 395,257 people. Closely followed by Western Asia with a net migrations of 189,618, and Southern Asia with 174,619 net migrations recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that Lower-middle-income countries has the highest net migrations of 214,095. While the lowest net migrations is recorded by Low-income countries were -248,502 more people emigrated than immigrated in that segment.
