Annual Net Migrations by Country in 1964

In 1964, 🇭🇰China, Hong Kong SAR was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 1,120,002 people for the year. Followed by 🇺🇸United States of America with 618,635 , and 🇫🇷France were 163,039 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇨🇳China with -1,250,441 people. Followed by 🇵🇭Philippines with a net migrations of -156,342, and 🇷🇺Russian Federation with -148,595 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Northern America with a total of 687,017 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Americas with a net migrations 344.514, and Oceania with 79,768 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Western Europe had the highest net migrations of 293,336 people. Closely followed by Central Asia with a net migrations of 190,462, and Australia/New Zealand with 101,394 net migrations recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that High-income countries has the highest net migrations of 1,795,647. While the lowest net migrations is recorded by Low-and-middle-income countries were -1,794,767 more people emigrated than immigrated in that segment.
