Annual Net Migrations by Country in 1970

In 1970, 🇺🇸United States of America was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 744,902 people for the year. Followed by 🇨🇦Canada with 304,627 , and 🇭🇰China, Hong Kong SAR were 302,462 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇵🇭Philippines with -300,923 people. Followed by 🇩🇪Germany with a net migrations of -273,498, and 🇷🇺Russian Federation with -264,464 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Northern America with a total of 1,050,272 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Americas with a net migrations 568.602, and Oceania with 234,389 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Australia/New Zealand had the highest net migrations of 260,805 people. Closely followed by Southern Asia with a net migrations of 184,574, and Eastern Asia with 151,197 net migrations recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that High-income countries has the highest net migrations of 1,264,817. While the lowest net migrations is recorded by Low-and-middle-income countries were -1,270,700 more people emigrated than immigrated in that segment.
