Annual Net Migrations by Country in 1988

In 1988, 🇺🇸United States of America was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 759,523 people for the year. Followed by 🇩🇪Germany with 427,377 , and 🇪🇹Ethiopia were 379,966 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇲🇽Mexico with -573,155 people. Followed by 🇸🇴Somalia with a net migrations of -415,660, and 🇧🇩Bangladesh with -319,331 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Northern America with a total of 966,891 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Europe with a net migrations 507.528, and Oceania with 91,502 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Western Europe had the highest net migrations of 539,650 people. Closely followed by Southern Africa with a net migrations of 307,382, and Western Asia with 209,965 net migrations recorded.
