Annual Net Migrations by Country in 2005

In 2005, 🇺🇸United States of America was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 1,369,224 people for the year. Followed by 🇮🇷Iran (Islamic Republic of) with 765,873 , and 🇪🇸Spain were 629,803 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇧🇩Bangladesh with -1,036,635 people. Followed by 🇮🇳India with a net migrations of -929,454, and 🇵🇭Philippines with -326,063 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Northern America with a total of 1,573,135 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Europe with a net migrations 1529.667, and Americas with 481,277 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Southern Europe had the highest net migrations of 844,207 people. Closely followed by Western Asia with a net migrations of 746,990, and Western Europe with 391,007 net migrations recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that High-income countries has the highest net migrations of 4,350,331. While the lowest net migrations is recorded by Low-and-middle-income countries were -4,333,676 more people emigrated than immigrated in that segment.
