Annual Net Migrations by Country in 2017

In 2017, 🇺🇸United States of America was the country with the highest annual net migrations of 1,864,738 people for the year. Followed by 🇹🇷Türkiye with 659,846 , and 🇩🇪Germany were 452,988 more people immigrated to than emigrated from the country.

The country with the lowest annual net migrations was 🇵🇰Pakistan with -1,574,585 people. Followed by 🇧🇩Bangladesh with a net migrations of -1,037,176, and 🇸🇦Saudi Arabia with -920,812 net migrations recorded.

The geographic region with the highest net migrations was Northern America with a total of 2,237,327 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Europe with a net migrations 1708.303, and Americas with 1,463,976 net migrations recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Western Europe had the highest net migrations of 782,068 people. Closely followed by Northern Europe with a net migrations of 442,678, and Eastern Asia with 369,567 net migrations recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that High-and-upper-middle-income countries has the highest net migrations of 5,304,989. While the lowest net migrations is recorded by Low-and-Lower-middle-income countries were -4,504,547 more people emigrated than immigrated in that segment.
