In the year 2024, a total of 132,405,927 babies was born across the globe.

The country with the highest birth count was 🇮🇳India, with a total of 23,186,978 people dying for the year. Closely followed by 🇨🇳China with a birth count of 8,822,056, and 🇳🇬Nigeria with 7,560,407 births recorded.

The country with the lowest annual birth count was 🇻🇦Holy See with only 2 babies born for the year. Followed by 🇳🇺Niue with a birth count of 25, and 🇵🇲Saint Pierre and Miquelon with 29 births recorded.

The geographic region with the highest birth count was Asia with a total of 65,492,045 people dying for the year. Closely followed by Africa with a birth count 46,621,058, and Americas with 13,324,476 births recorded for the year.

When devided into sub-subregions we can see that Southern Asia had the highest birth count of 37,086,077 people. Closely followed by Eastern Africa with a birth count of 16,158,655, and Western Africa with 14,855,287 births recorded.

If we devide the global population into income groups we can see that Low-and-middle-income countries has the highest birth count of 120,444,561. While the lowest birth count is recorded by No income group available were only 442,611 newborns was added to that segment.
